Bright Young Folk Reader's Choice Award.

Bright Young Folk Reader's Choice Award The Gigspanner Big Band's album Turnstone was chosen by the readers of Bright Young Folk as the Album of the Year 2025. The members of GBB send their thanks to all who voted, and view it as a wonderful honour. This is also a fine opportunity to extend thanks to the Folkscene Radio team for also choosing Turnstone their Album of the Year, and to Fatea Magazine for shortlisting it as an Album of the Year. Added to the 'end of year honours' mentioned in our previous posts, it has been a creatively exciting and fulfilling 2025 for the Band. For us, the key to pushing ourselves creatively and keeping ourselves enegised, is not to look back, but to fix on new new ideas, new material, new ventures. With those goals in mind, we are looking forward to what 2026 might deliver. We look forward to having you with us on that journey. Thank you. -- Deborah Knight
